GRANGÄRDE / ZURICH - The 2009 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) will take off soon, on 7-8 March, in Curitiba, but before preparing themselves to adjust to late summer conditions in Brazil, the three Chevrolet WTCC drivers have had the opportunity to enjoy some winter activities in Sweden and turned the WTCC into the “Winter Training Camp Chevrolet”!
In Sweden, the Chevrolet drivers had the opportunity to practice their driving skills in extreme conditions, at the wheel of a Chevrolet equipped with spikes. They could also train their physical condition practicing all kinds of winter sports, and shared some time together in a very relaxed atmosphere. The three are about to start their fifth season as team mates under the Chevrolet colors and they form a quite united and lively trio. Needless to say, the count of snow balls flying over the Chevrolet winter camp was lost...
Nicola Larini, Rob Huff and Alain Menu were this week in the far North of Europe to share their driving expertise under severe winter conditions, but are of course looking forward to racing the WTCC version of the Cruze at its debut in Brazil in less than three weeks from now, at the same time as the stylish and sporty sedan that Chevrolet is introducing in global markets.
